10x8 Acrylic on Canvas panel

8x10 Acrylic on Canvas panel

8x10 Acrylic on Canvas panel

These paintings were made using a palette of only the primary colors(red, yellow, blue). To get the greens, oranges, and violets I mixed the paints on the canvas. I found mixing the paint on the canvas works better than mixing it on the palette.

art

12x12 pastel
This draw is on a heavy watercolor paper. I made an underdrawing with my pastels. At this point I'm not very carefull. I'm just getting pigment on the paper. During this process I usually do the underdrawing in complementary colors to what I want the final product to be, but this time I used the final colors. Once the pigment is on the paper I go over it with rubbing alcohol. This makes a wash on the paper. Once the paper is dry I'm able to start on the final drawing.

Monochromatics

11x14 pastel

14x11

On these drawing I'm using a pastel paper. I add pigment to the paper then I use colorshapers to blend the pigments together. The red earth drawing is still a work in progress.
