The End

It is the end of the year 2008 and hopefully the end of me not producing any art. It was sometime around July when I lost my art mojo. Some how I forced 2 completed paintings out of myself, but that was it. Tomorrow is a new day and a new year so hopefully things will turn around.

Happy New Year!!!!!

Buffalo Roam

Yes, it has been a long time since I have posted. With the election being over I'm hoping to get back to the art world. With saying that, a group of us from NCKAA (North Central Kansas Artist Association) are showing our art at the Buffalo Roam Restaurant in Mankato, KS. The Show will be up until the first of the year.

Drawing Blind

I've been a artist for a really long time, so I thought I would challenge myself to see if I could draw a face with my eyes closed. It wasn't bad. Some of it was a little scribbely(I don't think that is a word), but for the most part you could tell it was a face.

Still Alive

I'm still alive! One may have wondered since I haven't posted in a long time. It is a little difficult to find the time to post with other things going on. I hope to one day keep up on this a little better. Until then my blogging will be sporadic. If you have any questions about my art you can e-mail me at pastelbrandy@yahoo.com

Art in the Park

Tomorrow (Saturday) I'll be at "Art in the Park" all day in Downs, KS. Actually it is "Art in the Depot". I plan on bringing my art supplies, like last year, and get some paintings finished. If you are in the area come and check out the art of the local artist and meet some of the artist.

Plums no.1

Pastel
6"x6"

I really enjoyed working on these plums. This painting went a lot quicker than what I thought it would, but that is a good thing. I'm looking forward to doing more still lifes of fruits and veggie.

WOW!!!!

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything since February! It is not for the lack of making art, because I've been working on several projects. I guess I better get with it and start posting again. Please keep checking back.

Thanks
Brandy

Kansas Sunset
Pastel
6"x8"

When I started this painting I thought "YIKES", but I think it turned out well. It is one of those that you have to look at from across the room. This is going to be the other painting that I put in the "Local Edition" show in Lincoln.

Wondering Path
Pastel
6"x8"

This is one of the paintings that I'll be putting in a show called "Local Edition". The show is taking place at the Lincoln Art Center starting March 7th. I'm still trying to decide on the second painting.

On another note, I added an artist to my links. Her name is Pattie Wall and I met her in December. She is a great artist so be sure to check her blog out.
